The Rocky Mountain Development Series (DEVO) is the entry point for young freestyle skiers looking to experience competition in a fun, age-appropriate environment. The program emphasizes skill development, safety, and teamwork, giving athletes the chance to build a strong foundation while enjoying the sport alongside peers who share their passion. DEVO competitions focus on developing basic freestyle skiing skills while encouraging sportsmanship and confidence. It’s the perfect first step before progressing to the Rocky Mountain Qualifier Series (RQS).

Who Can Participate

• Athletes age 12 and under (as of December 31 of the competition season).
• Age groups include U13, U11, U9, and U7.

Competition Format

• Typically 3–5 mogul competitions each season.
• May also include dual mogul events.
• Events are hosted at resorts across Colorado.

Pathway to RQS

• DEVO skiers are allowed one free RQS move-up event per season.
• The move-up is ideally at the athlete’s home mountain, but they may choose another location if needed.
• A weekend meet with multiple competitions (e.g., single moguls Saturday + dual moguls Sunday) counts as one move-up.
